FAQ: Mental Health Support Directory

Get Support Together is an innovative and badly needed resource for people experiencing any mental health support need.  We hope the following information answers your questions.  If not, submit a question today.

How is Get Support Together different from other mental health access sites?

We curate a mental health support directory dedicated to connecting you with community-based resources for every level of care. Whether you prefer virtual support or in-person options, we help you find accessible, step-by-step assistance—including local groups and national resources like hospitals, treatment centers, and educational tools—so you can build the right support system for your mental health needs.

How do you verify providers?

Providing a care seeker with guidance on mental health decisions is something we take very seriously.  Our intent is to provide you with information and resources so you can make the best decision for you or a loved one.  Following are the steps we take when publishing a mental health provider:

  • We do not purchase names, conduct artificial intelligence deep dives, or add names of providers without their permission.
  • All individuals, organizations, and companies are required to submit an application for an account.  The only exception to this is national mental health crisis hotlines which provide crucial services.
  • Providers are vetted by verifying their license (if one is indicated), website, and social channels.  We are looking to verify they exist and are not bots, have no negative marks on their license at the time of application, and that social channels do not contain recent hate speech or other noticeable offenses.

In the future we intend on implementing a Verified badge with ratings and reviews to assist care seekers in identifying their best match.  No matter what precautions we take, it is highly recommended the individuals conduct their own due diligence and further research prior to selecting a provider or embarking on a new treatment modality journey.
